Trina Giddens Nussbaumer

Trina is a state-licensed and national board-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over 25 years experience.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees in Communication Disorders from the University of South Florida.  She currently performs evaluations for the Lake County Early Steps Program and provides the following speech and language services:

  • Early Intervention (0-3) for speech and language delays
  • Child Speech and Language Disorders
  • Developmental Delays
  • Fluency Disorders (Stuttering)
  • Phonological Disorder Treatment
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders/ Pervasive Developmental Disorders (ASD/PDD)
  • Oral motor treatment (musculature strengthening/motor planning)
  • Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
  • Emergent Literacy (preschool age) and Reading Fluency and Comprehension (school age)
  • Parent Education: Teaching practical ways to help children learn language during everyday routines
  • Dysphagia (Swallowing Disorders)
  • Feeding difficulties/ Oral aversion
